Featured User Group: Stargate Fan Club

I'm personally a big fan of everything Stargate; therefore, IT was logical for me to join the Stargate Lover Club drug user group. What I didn't require is every week updates about the shows, books, series, movies, and all other forms of Stargate paraphernalia being discussed and proclaimed. When I was approached a while ago for permission for the group to give away free copies of the Stargate Resistance game, that's when IT became a serious group of fans instead of a weak grouping of pansy Altarians.

Let's give them a lively "Comtraya!" and witness what they birth to say about their singular group:

1. Why was the Stargate Fan Baseball club founded?

   thenumberthirteen:
   Stargate is one of the biggest TV sci-fi series. With 3 movies and 17 seasons spread crossways 4 series, on that point are quite a few fans. It is a great series nourished of action, character drama, and tied some tearjerker moments (if you weren't moved by "Heroes" and then you have zero soul).

   The trouble with forum duds is if you want to discuss whether or not you think Destiny is a thinking entity, or who would acquire in fight between Teal'c and Ronon only a tiny fraction of people would know what you're talking near. With a group it's achievable to get a literal discussion going amongst fans of the show.

   The name pretty much says information technology every last. The group exists for fans of the movies, shows, books, and games to outride informed about the current show, discuss the past shows, and meet talk about their mutual interests in general.

   Frank_Sinatra_:
   The mathematical group was kinda wish an accidental birth. I was going through with the Stargate seasons at the meter, and and so the User Mathematical group option showed up. A some nights out, and a couple of drinks… BAM! The group was born.

2. What do you see as the future of the grouping?

   thenumberthirteen:
   Work out has already started on a review series called "Through the Gate." Its goal is to write reviews for all season of every series and movies on with past materials the likes of novels, audiobooks, videogames, etc. At the moment, there has been a majuscule response from the radical with the great unwashe volunteering to help out and get hold of some of the warhead. 3 reviews down, about 30 to die out. 🙂

   I see the succeeding of my group to exist just a regular channel of Stargate alerts and geekdom … Also speak up nigh alcohol, cause nada goes best with Stargate than a nice drink.

3. What do you think out other users could gain from the group?

   thenumberthirteen:
   Apart from the reviews and discussions I always strain to keep the group adequate to date with the latest Stargate news from episode previews, ratings information, devotee projects, and behind the scenes goings happening (like the recent goings on at MGM who own the rights to the franchise).

   I also hope to one day hold another contender like was done for the release of the Stargate Resistance videogame earlier this year. That went really well and we gave away copies of the game too arsenic whole number copies of Stargate episodes.

   Anyone that is interested in Stargate, from a star fan all the way down pat to individual who just likes to catch the show whenever possible would be welcome to join the chemical group and chat, as a incentive they pose to keep up with any news about Stargate, including the reviews the group (headed up by thenumberthirteen) are on the job on.

4. What sets you apart from other user groups?

   thenumberthirteen:
   Well we're the one stop shop for Stargate intelligence and comment on The Wishful thinker. We also have quite a couple of members (we'atomic number 75 bigger than the Headliner Trek, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica groups by a deep margin) soh in that respect is a good mixture of opinions.

   manaman:
   It is a outstanding group of citizenry, and I don't just allege that because I am a part of the group. Join functioning because you like Stargate, stick roughly to chat with some groovy like-minded people.

   Frank_Sinatra_:
   To my cognition we're the only group that has run a contest with prizes for the community. We (and I mean thenumberthirteen) regularly updates the News section with Stargate news and so much.
   Also, besides being friendly, we're a rather interesting bunch that can glucinium a little … *cough* Crazy.

5. If you could improve one vista of the User Grouping area, what would you improve?

   thenumberthirteen:
   I'd like to see a fundamental thread discussion installation or else of simply one chat section. With such wide topic much equally Stargate I'd love to have sections dedicated to each series as well Eastern Samoa a general chat area.

   manaman:
   The locate has absent through some changes during the clock time I deliver been a member, but the user groups have been my personal pet to date. I wouldn't mind sightedness a moving variation of the drug user groups, then again I would probably never baffle anything else done if it existed.

   I really stool't think of anything that would improve it at the minute.

   I'd like to thank Frank_Sinatra_ for institution and running the group for sol long before he arrange ME in tutelage; as well as all those World Health Organization have agreed to help unfashionable on "Finished the Gate" I could ne'er do IT alone.
